Day 12- Leaving Shelby, Montana to cross the border to Canada 35 miles

Shelby, Montana with a population of about 3500 people had an economic boost in 1921 when oil was found at two different wells. This region was known as the Kevin- Sunburst Oil and Gas Dome.

Although Shelby is a very small town, they have a beautiful area honoring Veterans.

Today we did laundry, last minute grocery shopping at Albertsons, and filled up the truck. I cleaned out the refrigerator to make sure we used or threw out all the produce, chicken and eggs.  Then checked and made sure we are not over the "allowed" liquor amounts.

Ed checked the leak under the water storage and sealed it all up.

After dinner at Cathy's and Charlie's, Ed and I packed everything up so we will be ready bright and early for the border crossing. Cathy wants to stop at a "first come" RV site (260 miles) in Canada. She likes it because there is a Mc Donald's across the street.

BUT first we are having breakfast at the Best Western!!!
