Our weather continues to be in the 60's during the day and 40's at night, I love how light it is all the time! It is going to be hard to get used to it being dark at night when we get back to the states.
Today we checked into the North Ranch RV Park and then drove 2 1/2 hours to Valdez.
Valdez waterfall (I think Aussie really needs a haircut!)
Valdez is a fishing town with a few places to eat, an IGA grocery store and we saw two banks. The harbor has a lot of boats, mostly fishing boats. A lot of the shops are selling fishing and adventure tours.
The hatchery had salmons trying to jump over the water, sea lions trying to catch and eat the fish and then birds trying to eat the left over fish from the sea lions.
A very busy place!
Look at the wing span of this Eagle.
The sea lion catches the fish and then starts shaking his head back and forth trying to kill the salmon. Then the sea lion dives under the water. Sometimes the salmon gets away.
And sometimes the salmon gets eaten up by the sea lion.
This sea lion was very, very loud! He didn't like the birds near him. Once the birds flew away the sea lion would be quiet until... they flew back!
Now we have a 2 1/2 hour ride ack to The North Ranch Lodge and RV Park.
